Key that identifies attribute mapping.

Use

Attribute mapping cumulates settings that control the transformation of attributes:

  • They determine how the target attributes are generated from the source attributes (attribute mapping).

    Depending on the data structures of the source and target system it is possible to generate the target attribute in the following way:

    • From exactly one source attribute
    • From several source attributes
      • You enter the list of the individual source attributes in the activity generate target attribute from several source attributes
  • You enter the rules for the conversion of attribute values (value mapping).

    Depending on the values of the source and target system it is possible to generate an attribute value in the folowing way:

    • From exaclty one attribute value
      • You enter the rule for value mapping in the following activity: generate the target attribute from one source value.
    • From several attribute values
      • You enter the rule for value mapping in the following activity: generate the target attribute from several source values.

Dependencies

The settings that you enter for attribute mapping are effective only in a specific mapping context.
