Definition

Object type groups represent a hierarchically organized group of repository object types. The groups consist of either existing object types or of other object type groups.

Use

Object type groups are used mainly in the Classification Toolset. They define the domain a characteristic can be applied to. Each characteristic refers to exactly one object type or object type group. The characteristic may be applied only to objects that belong to the specified type or group.
