Documentation
Definition
The planning parameter classes are used to divide the planning parameters you have created into groups. In order to form groups or classes, the assigned planning parameters must be used in the following applications:
- General Ledger, Special Purpose Ledger and Profit Center Accounting,
- Cost Center Accounting
- Orders
Use
When you call up planning, the SAP System checks whether the planning parameters entered are assigned to a class that is relevant for the current planning type (General Ledger or Special Purpose Ledger, cost center planning or order planning).
If you specify a parameter class that does not yet exist, the system returns a warning message to this effect. You can ignore this warning. The SAP System automatically creates this new class. In the 'Create Planning Parameters Class' dialog box, you enter a name for the new parameter class and define for which application the class is to be used. Save your entries.
