Definition

This column shows whether authorization is required for the processing step, and whether authorization has already been granted in accordance with the organizational measures. If the padlock symbol is not open, authorization has not been granted.

If you have the required authorizations, you can allow the flow step to be accessed by selecting the padlock symbol. The symbol then changes from closed to open.

Authorization is only for both price determination steps together. Authorization is also required to perform the closing postings.
