Definition

Ensures that the quantity of a particular item remains constant.

Use

Set this indicator if you do not want the quantity of a particular item to change.

Example

  • If an item in a BOM is set as fixed and the quantity of end product produced changes, the quantity of the 'fixed' item will not change.
  • If a "material to be provided" item is not set as fixed and the quantity subcontracted changes, the amount of the "material to be provided" changes proportionally.
