Definition
Specifies in dependency on the secondary requirements indicator in the material master record whether existing costing data are transferred into a cost estimate.
If this indicator is not set, the system looks for a cost estimate on the database in the sequence of the specified strategies.

If the indicator is set, there can be two cases:
- In the costing run, you carry out costing without having exploded the structure. A cost estimate can only be transferred if the secondary requirements indicator in the MRP 2 view of the material master record of the material costed is set to 2 (only collective requirements).
- In costing with quantity structure, sales order costing, and in the costing run after exploding the structure, you must make sure that
- the secondary requirements indicator in the BOM item has a higher priority than the setting in the material master record
- secondary requirements indicator 2 (only collective requirements) is passed on to all subordinate BOM components in the structure
