Use in material costing with quantity structure

In this area, you can do the following:

• execute the steps of the costing run (see Change parameters and Executing the editing step)
• display information on the editing steps of the costing run, see:
• Status and Number of materials processed
• Number of materials processed with errors,
• Number of materials as yet unprocessed
• Number of materials for costing

Editing the costing run entails carrying out the following steps:

• Material selection
• Structure explosion
• Costing
• Generate report
• Update of the standard price in the material master:
• Marking
• Release

or

• Update of other prices
• tax-based and commercial prices 1, 2, and 3
• Planned prices 1, 2, and 3

Note

The costing type specifies whether and which prices are updated in the material master. The costing type is assigned to the costing variant.

The steps Marking/Release and Price update are offereddepending on what has been determined in the costing type:

• If the costing type does not allow for price update, this step is not offered in the costing run.
• If the costing type allows for the update of standard prices, the steps Marking and Release are offered.
• If the costing type allows for the update of other prices (planned prices, tax-based and commercial prices), the step Price update is offered.
