Documentation
Definition
For co-products, you can create procurement alternatives for in-house production, provided that the material has been maintained for joint production in the material master. The system asks you to enter a process material. For the co-product, an apportionment structure must be maintained, while for the process material the quantity structure must be defined for in-house production.
The system asks you to enter either a BOM and a routing, or a production version. If production versions are defined for this material, you can only create procurement alternatives for in-house production. If a procurement alternative is created with a BOM and routing, you cannot enter a procurement alternative with a production version.
The quantity structure entries always refer to the process, and not to the co-product. In other words, the check for existing BOM/routings or production versions is carried out through the process material.
