Procedure

Choose this process category to create a procurement alternative for in-house production for the material.

Dependencies

If production versions exist for this material, you can choose to create procurement alternatives for in-house production either with production versions or by using the BOM and routing. You define production versions in the material master.

If you create a procurement alternative with a BOM and routing, you cannot enter procurement alternatives with a production version at a later time, and vice versa.

If no production version exists for the material, you are required by the system to enter data for the BOM and routing.
