Definition

Use

In this field, you can specify a warehouse number of the decentralized SCM system that you have assigned to the warehouse number of the ERP system. For more information, see Customizing for SAP ERP under Integration with Other mySAP.com Components -> Extended Warehouse Management -> Assign Warehouse Number to Warehouse Number of Decentralized SCM.

If you enter a warehouse number, Core Interface (CIF) only transfers EWM-specific data from the ERP to the SCM system:

• General Material Data (MARA)
• Material Descriptions (MAKT)
• Units of Measure for Material (MARM)

If you do not enter a warehouse number, CIF assumes that you do not use EWM and tries to prepare location-specific data. However, if you do use EWM and no location is available for CIF, an error occurs.
