Documentation
Definition
This attribute in the material master identifies materials for which the inventory is to be managed in EWM in two units of measure because the units of measure do not have a fixed conversion ratio to one another.
Use
This attribute is set by the system and cannot be changed manually.
The catch weight relevance is taken into account in EWM processes only. In ERP, the processes are not changed (see also the industry solution IS-CW).
Dependencies
This attribute is set by the system, if a unit of measure is marked as a parallel unit of measure (attribute "Category of Parallel Unit of Measure for Catch Weight") in the additional data screen "Units of Measure" in the material master.
This attribute can only be assigned when a material is created. A subsequent change (after saving the new material) is not possible in general or in the SAP standard system. Cross-system checks would be required to do this. These can be added on a project basis without modification. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) under Extended Warehouse Management -> Integration -> Cross-Process Settings -> Master Data -> BAdI: Check Changes Made to Units of Measure.
