Definition

The check conditions that are stored in table DBCHECKORA are identified by a condition type and name.

The following error types can appear in this field:

  • DBA: Check conditions that are programmed in BRCONNECT. You can change the thresholds for these check conditions. You cannot add any extra check conditions. All available check conditions are entered in the table.
  • ORA: Oracle alert log messages that the database checks are to display. Ypi can add any number of ORA entries. Oracle writes all important administration and error messages to the alert log. The predefined entries in the table make sure that the system check issues the most important Oracle messages.

You can add extra messages to the system check.

If you want to do this, enter DBA in this field.

  • PROF: Problems in the init<DBSID>.ora initialization profile. The database checks check the correctness of the Oracle parameters whose names are entered in this table. The predefined entries make sure that the most important Oracle parameters are checked.

You can add extra Oracle parameters to the database check. If you want to do this, enter PROF in this field.

  • DBO: BRARCHIVE, BRBACKUP, BRCONNECT, SAPDBA, or other DBA tools log the status of DBA operations in the SDBAH and SDBAD tables. BRCONNECT checks these for terminated operations and old successful operations.
