Definition
Defines the number of preferred production versions that are released for material requirements planning.
Use
You want to release the preferred production versions. To determine which production versions are preferred, the system sorts the selected production versions within a material/plant group and puts them in ranking order. The most preferred production version comes first, the least preferred production version comes last.
Use the Number of Preferred Production Versions parameter to specify the maximum number of preferred production versions you want the system to release for material requirements planning. The system counts the production versions to be released in the sequence of the ranking list. The system locks the remaining production versions (the non-preferred production versions) for MRP.
