Definition
This indicator determines how reports are printed. You can choose between printing with dynamic tree structures and HTML controls, classic report lists and the ABAP List Viewer, also known as the object list.
Printing with controls is the most visually pleasing option, though you need to have installed the necessary user interface components on the presentation computer. With this display type, some functions are called up differently to the way they are called up with classical drilldown lists. The choice of functions is also somewhat restricted. This applies especially to print functions, which are greatly restricted in this display type.
The "list" option corresponds to the classic print form as used in earlier releases.
With the ABAP List Viewer, you have the option of printing reports with more than one characteristic in the lead column. Note, however, that some of the settings in the report definition have no effect in this display type, in particular the hierarchy selection. With this display type, the system basically displays the data without hierarchies.
