Documentation
Definition
Specifies the priority of applications, depending on the document type, when displaying files assigned to a document info record.
Use
If you set the parameter CDESK_DISPLAY_ORIGIN: Activate Function for Directly Viewing Assigned Files so that the View Assigned Files pushbutton is available in CAD desktop, you can view files of selected document info records directly in CAD desktop without having to navigate to the document info record first. You rank the applications to specify which files you want to be displayed.
The system first searches for applications with the highest rank. If the system finds files with this application, it displays them and stops searching. If it does not find any files with this application, it continues searching in the sequence you defined (rank 2, rank 3, and so on). If you want to view files that have the same document type but different applications, assign rank 1 to all the relevant applications.
Dependencies
You can enter values from 1 to 99 for the rank, 1 being the highest.
You have activated the Customizing parameter CDESK_DISPLAY_ORIGIN, causing the View Assigned Files pushbutton to be displayed in CAD desktop.
Example
You have defined the applications WRD, JPG, PDF, and XLS for a document type. You assigned rank 1 to the application WRD, rank 2 to the applications JPG and PDF, and rank 3 to the application XLS.
In CAD desktop, you select a document info record and want to view the files assigned to it:
- WRD, PDF, and XLS files have been assigned to the document info record you selected.
The system only displays the WRD files because you assigned WRD the highest rank. - JPG, PDF, and XLS files have been assigned to the document info record you selected.
The system displays all the JPG or PDF files, since there is no WRD file (highest rank) and the XLS application has the lowest rank.
