Definition

Each form of an absence or attendance is represented by an absence or attendance type. The absence/attendance type specifies an absence or attendance more exactly.

Use

Incapacity to work, vacation, or release from work of an employee can be specified more exactly by a number of absence types. These make it possible for the system to recognize automatically whether an absence is relevant for payment, for example, whether it is relevant for statistics and reserves, and so on.

The attendance types are mainly used to document the work performed by employees. They typically describe the type of activity.

• Sickness with medical certificate (paid)
• Sickness without medical certificate (unpaid)

Attendance:
