Initiating objects operate as a starting point for changing production orders.
Use
You need initiating objects if you want to update production orders with changed basic data. You can test the effects of basic data changes and transfer the changes to production orders.

You can only set this indicator if the Release for production or Global release indicator is set for the release key.
If you work with change hierarchies, the following applies: You can only select a release key in a leading change master record, which allows release for production and OCM, if you have first released all subordinate change packages technically.
