Documentation
Definition
Priority of effectivity type for object changes.
Use
The system uses the priority to determine one effective change status if the following conditions apply (for example, for BOM explosion):
- An object (for example, BOM) has been changed several times with different change numbers.
- The change numbers have different effectivity types.
- if one release key has been maintained for change master records, more than one change master record is relased via the release key.
Procedure
Examples
You change a BOM with 2 change numbers.
- One change number has effectivity type DATE (time period), the other has effectivity type SERNR (serial number).
- Both change numbers are released.
Effectivity type Priority Change number
DATE 10 N-1
SERNR 20 N-2
Effectivity type SERNR has a higher priority, so the BOM explosion reads the changes made with this change number.
Dependencies
If you change an object several times with change number that have different change types, the system determines the change number that has the change type with the highest priority in the sequence you define.
