Documentation
Definition
Determines which entry values are available for the parameter.
Use
When you maintain the effectivity values in the change master record, the system checks the parameter types and generates the effectivity fields.
The parameter types determine the following entries:
- Type S
lower limit (only single value)
- Type I
- lower limit (or fixed value, if there is no upper limit)
- upper limit
- Type O
- lower limit (or fixed value or lower limit for open interval)
- upper limit
- Indicator for interpreting the lower limit as an open interval
- Indicator set -> lower limit for open interval
- Indicator not set -> single value
Procedure
Examples
Effectivity parameter DATE:
- Parameter type O (open interval)
- Allocation of effectivity type DATUM
If you choose the effectivity type DATUM in the change master record, maintain the following values:
- Date: lower limit
- Date: upper limit
- Indicator for interpreting the the lower limit of the open interval.
Dependencies
When you maintain values for the effectivity in the change master record, this parameter type determines which values can be maintained for the chosen effectivity type.
