Definition
Specifies the validity area that can be used to filter the labels displayed after label determination has been carried out for the labeling scenario in question.
Use
The validity area is indicated in the Label Data view of the material master. When performing label determination with a labeling scenario, you can use the validity area to further restrict the labels displayed.
Dependencies
- You have created the validity area category SCENARIO in the Customizing activity Specify Validity Area Categories.
- You have assigned a validity area to the validity area category SCENARIO in the Customizing activity Specify Validity Areas.
- In the Label Data view of the material master, you can assign individual packaging units to specific labeling scenarios and thus filter the labeling specifications by labeling scenario. To do so, enter a validity area for the individual label categories in the Labeling Specification group box.
Example
You want to print shipping labels (label category LB_PRIM) for the Delivery labeling scenario but not for the Process Order labeling scenario. To do so, assign a validity area to the material in the material master that specifies that the label category is displayed only for the Delivery labeling scenario.
