Documentation
Definition
Controls the processing of print requests and how they behave during printing. You make this setting for each labeling scenario.
Use
Synchronous Processing of Print Requests
The print requests are processed consecutively by the client. When printing labels, the client must not process further print requests until the previous print request has been sent to the WWI server printer.
Asynchronous Processing of Print Requests
As soon as a print request is created, the client starts processing the next print request. This allows the client to continue processing the subsequent print requests more quickly, irrespective of whether the previous print request was created successfully. This means that the status of the print requests does not affect how they are processed.
Dependencies
In the Customizing activity Create Basic Data, you have scheduled a background job for asynchronous processing.
