Documentation
Definition
This field contains an access key with up to 10 characters that you can choose as required. This key is for the transaction control in CATS for Service Providers, and is used for accessing the TCATX_SCR (subscreen control), TCATX_TCR (tab strip control) and TCATX_CC (central functions) tables.
Use
The SAP standard delivery provides you with the access key CATSXT, whereby you can define your own if required.
You can define your own access keys if the settings in the tables mentioned above need to be based on the organizational assignment of the employee. You use the CATSS characteristic to specify which employees or groups of employees use which access key for the transaction control (Determine Access Key). In CATS for Service providers, the access key for the transaction control is determined by using the organizational assignment of the employee.
In this way, you can make the layout of CATS for Service Providers depend upon the organizational assignment of the employee. Criteria might be, for example, the company code or the personnel area of that employee.
The access key you choose is determined based on the employee's organizational assignment when the CATS for Service Providers is called. A prerequisite is that you maintain feature CATSS.
This enables you to set up the screen layout of CATS Service Providers according to organizational assignment, for example by company code or personnel area. In this case, you are recommended to use the company code or personnel area as the access key.
If you have not maintained feature CATSS, CATS for Service Providers uses the access key "CATSXT" to access the tables mentioned above. If the CATSS characteristic has been maintained but not in these tables then the system also uses the CATSXT key here.
