Definition

Controls whether the user can change certain specifications for the data entry profile.

Use in CATS classic

If you set this indicator, users with authorization for this profile can use the Settings function in CATS classic to change the profile settings to suit their current requirements.

However, sensitive profile settings, such as Approval Required, cannot be changed by the user.

Use in CATS notebook

If you set this indicator, the user can freely choose the duration of the data entry period in CATS notebook.

If you do not set the indicator, the user cannot change the duration of the data entry period in CATS notebook. In this case, the period lasts for the duration you specified in the settings for the data entry profile.
