Documentation

Definition

The document number of the record you want to change must be unique within the external logical system and the external application. It is an ID consisting of a maximum of 20 characters.

Notes

If your document number contains letters, you should always enter them as capital letters.

Use

To ensure that you can identify a record at all times, it always retains its original document number. If you make changes to the record, the system generates a second document number for the changed (and resulting new) record. This is the document number of the record you want to change.

To be able to identify the record of an external application that you want to change, you must complete the following fields:

• CATS_AWSYS_OLD (External Logical System of Record to be Changed)
• CATS_AWTYP_OLD (External Application of Record to be Changed)
• CATS_AWKEY_OLD (Document Number of the Record to be Changed)
