Use
In variant configuration, the application serves mainly to control the explosion of the BOM according to usage.
The application determines which usages of a BOM can be exploded and in which order.
For a configurable material which has both a BOM with usage 1 (production) and a BOM with usage 5 (Sales and distribution), the BOM can only be exploded by production and sales departments if the configuration profile contains an application which supports both usages.
