Documentation
Definition
Specifies whether the working times recorded in the Time Sheet are to be compared with data from the work schedule and how any missing hours or clock times are to be determined.
This switch is only relevant if you implement SAP HR.
Use
This switch enables you to ensure that the times recorded in the Time Sheet are as accurate as possible and in the correct format for Time Management.
Irrespective of this, SAP R/3 reports on this switch to determine whether the data records from the Time Sheet have an HR working time attribute (attendance or absence type). This means that you can still use information from the work schedule even if the recorded information is to be used only for cost accounting as opposed to being transferred to HR.
Depending on the setting of this switch, SAP R/3 determines any missing clock times or hours and informs the user about any incorrect entries.
Switch is not selected
If you do not select this switch, the working times recorded are compared with information from the work schedule. SAP R/3 determines whether any of the following values are missing:
- Number of hours (breaks are included)
- Start and end time
- Previous day indicator (only if attendance/absence type has been recorded)
- Full day indicator (only if attendance/absence type has been recorded)
Switch is selected
If you select the switch, information from the work schedule is not taken into consideration. SAP R/3 determines any possible missing values as follows:
- If the data record has been recorded with an attendance or absence type, SAP R/3 only determines the number of hours from the start and end times.
- If the data record has been recorded without an attendance or absence type, SAP R/3 calculates the number of hours and any missing start or end times by subtraction or addition.
