Definition
Date on which the item was posted at the bank
Use
The date you specify here is transferred to the financial accounting documents as the document date. If you do not specify this date, the system uses the posting date of the financial accounting documents as the document date.
The document date determined exactly by item is necessary for properly calculating interest from bank accounts.
Note
The posting date in the financial accounting documents comes from the date on the bank statement (or a different date that you enter) and is in any case unique for all financial accounting documents posted from a bank statement.
