Definition

This number gives the total size of database shared memory buffering space. It is obtained indirectly by multiplying the database configuration parameters, BUFFERS with the SYSTEM-PAGE-SIZE. The SYSTEM-PAGE-SIZE is a fixed parameter and cannot be altered. The BUFFERS configuration parameter can be found and altered via the Informix-Online database configuration file found in the directory $INFORMIXDIR/etc .
