System type in a system landscape template. In the system landscape template only system types are defined. If the template is materialized to a system landscape for usage in a project then a system and client must be specified for the system type.
Example
A system landscape template contains system type CONTROL. In a materialized system landscape the CONTROL system is SOL client 100.
