Documentation
Definition
Quantity in thebase unit of measure or in the 'leading' proportion unit of a material, which is relevant for calculating the inventory correction factor.
Procedure
To calculate the inventory correction factor, according to various selection options, the system includes particular stock types from the batch stock and the vendor consignment stock.Depending on these criteria, the relevant quantity is the total from
- unrestricted-use stock
- quality inspection stock
- blocked stock
- Blocked stock is only included if you have selected the relevant selection criterion.
- restricted-use stock
- You can exclude restricted stock if you do not select batches with the 'restricted' status.
Further notes
In the case of materials with inspection data, the quality inspection stock is not included in the calculation of the inventory correction factor because this stock is included as a planned receipt and not as stock in the ATP check andrequirement calculation.
If you have excluded batches with the 'restricted' status, the quality inspection stock and blocked stock for restricted batches are not included in the calculation of the inventory correction factor either.
Dependencies
Please note that the stock adjusted by the inventory correction factor does not have to correspond with the relevant stock for calculating the inventory correction factor. In Logistics applications, the available quantity is adjusted by the inventory correction factor. Depending on the Availability check control or the Plant parameters for Materials Requirements Planning, the available quantity or available stock can be made up of stock types that are different from the relevant stock for calculating the inventory correction factor.
Examples of adjusted stock
When determining the inventory correction factor, the adjusted stock is the quantity relevant for calculation in base unit of measure adjusted by the inventory correction factor.
In the availability check, the adjusted stock is the available quantity in the base unit of measure adjusted by the inventory correction factor.
