Definition
When the loan contract currency is converted, the system stores the the remaining capital amount in the original currency on the conversion key date. This allows faster access to the original remaining capital amount on the conversion date if it is required later on (for example for correspondence).
If the original remaining capital amount was not saved, it would need to be recalculated, and would require a longer runtime.
