Descriptive framework that is used to characterize products of an application.

Use

Product types are defined by the applications that are connected to total commitment. In Customizing, you can bundle them together with the product categories supplied by the applications in the standard version to form total commitment groupings.

You can use total commitment groupings to influence the positioning of contract information in the results list for total commitment. You can use this feature to display contracts/accounts of the same type but from various applications in one display block in the results list for total commitment.

Dependencies

Product types are categorized by product categories supplied by SAP. You can configure these to meet your own requirements.
