Definition
Indicates the activation status of the function for displaying contract information according to total commitment groupings.
Use
In the standard version, displaying contract information according to total commitment groupings is not active (inactive). The system displays contract information in total commitment according to applications.
If you display contract information according to total commitment groupings, then you can activate the following options:
- Active (create data automatically)
You can use this setting to activate the function for displaying contract information according to total commitment groupings. This setting determines that total commitment automatically saves all new combinations of product categories and types with their language-dependent descriptions in Customizing. When a user displays total commitment, the system displays a message requesting the user to assign another total commitment grouping to the new combination of product category and type. You do this in the IMG activity Make Settings for Total Commitment Grouping in the step Assign Total Commitment Grouping to Product Type. Until you have made this assignment for the corresponding combination of product category and type, total commitment uses the application information to group the corresponding contract information.
Automatic data creation helps you to set up Customizing and automates the creation of product categories and types in the IMG activity Make Settings for Total Commitment Grouping.
- Active (can only be set manually)
You can use this setting to activate the function for displaying contract information according to total commitment groupings. This setting determines that total commitment does not automatically save all new combinations of product categories and types in Customizing. It also determines that when you display total commitment, the system requests you to define this manually in the IMG activity Make Settings for Total Commitment Groupings in the steps Assign Product Category and Assign TC Grouping to Product Type. The prerequisite for this manual Customizing is that the applications with the relevant and valid combinations of product categories and types are known. Until you have created the corresponding combination of product category and type and made the relevant assignment, total commitment uses the application information to group the corresponding contract information.
Dependencies
You can activate the function for sorting contract information according to total commitment groupings in Customizing for the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services by choosing Settings for Financial Services-> Tools-> Total Commitment in the IMG activity Make Settings for Total Commitment and in the IMG activity Make Settings for Total Commitment Grouping.
