Documentation
Definition
You can assign different roles to a business partner. These roles describe the functions the partner assumes within the business relationships.
Depending on the role category, you have to store certain role-specific data for the business partner. In Customizing of the basic functions under point 'Define role-view assignment', you specify which views are displayed for a role category. The views are the various input screens in the business partner master data in which you store specific information on the business partner.
The role categories are predefined in the system. By defining role types you can create different charactereistics of a role category.
Examples
- Counterparty
- Issuer
- Paying bank
- ...

Use
You must define a role category for accounting clerk here, if, as was previously the case, the accounting clerk is to be managed as a partner for this transaction type. If you have not assigned a role category to the accounting clerk, you must manage the accounting clerk via the entries defined in Customizing (Loans Management -> Functions -> Process Management -> Define Clerks).
