Indicates that the business partner is a monetary financial institution (MFI).
Monetary financial institutions (MFI) include central banks, resident banks in the context of community law, and other resident financial institutions whose business activities include taking financial deposits or substitutes, in the stricter sense of assets, as a monetary institution, and providing loans at their own risk and/or investing in securities.
Use
Monetary financial institutions are listed by the European Central Bank, with the aim of gathering detailed reporting information about the money issuing sector in the EURO zone.
