Use
The residence time determines how long an object remains in the operative database. Only once this time has elapsed can an object be archived. The residence time is calculated on a monthly basis.
Dependencies
You can set the residence time of business partners to be archived in specific business partner roles in Customizing for the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services, by choosing Settings for Financial Services -> Tools -> Determine Residence Time of Business Partners to Be Archived.
The object-specific residence time must be greater than, or equal to the minimum residence time determined in the check table for global archiving control.
