Definition

Determines the line type of a service line in the service overview.

Use

You can characterize a service line using the line type and assign certain attributes:

  • NZ    Standard line

    This line type is the standard case and is the system default.

  • PZ    Blanket line

    The quantity is not used for a blanket line.

    A service line of this type is automatically given standard quantity 1 and is settled flat rate.

  • EZ    Contingency line

    This line type describes a service that is not absolutely required to complete the order and should only be used if required.

    The value of this service line is not included in the total BOS value.

  • FZ    Unrestricted quantity

    If the contractor requires the tenderer to quote a quantity for a particular sub-service, this service line can be marked as unrestricted quantity.

    You can only use this line type in the following documents:

    • Purchase requistion and RFQ in Purchasing (MM - Services)
    • Inquiry with BOS in Sales
  • HZ    Informatory line

    This line type does not describe a service. It is for documentation purposes. You use this if you want to store additional text.

  • IZ    Internal Line

    This line type describes a service line in a BOS that is used for internal purposes during quotation processing.

    If you use this line type for a service line, you cannot create a service entry for it.
