Documentation
Definition
Indicator for entering a lower value for the commit counter than the value entered in Customizing for general archiving of a given object type. When you execute the deletion program, the system runs a COMMIT WORK if the number of objects entered here were processed.
If you enter a larger value than that entered in Customizing, the system uses the number from Customizing.
Example
In Customizing for archiving, you entered 200 for the commit counter. Your cost centers, however, have a larger data volume. Therefore, you enter 10 for the object-specific commit counter to spare the database and data storage from data overruns.
Recommendation
If you are unsure as to which value to enter, enter a small value such as 1. If no runtime problems occur, you may then increase the value.
