Definition

Determines that the user cannot change the description of the blocking reason in the purchasing document.

Use

In this IMG activity, you create a list of blocking reasons that are displayed as input help when a user wants to block a purchase order item.

  • If you set the indicator and the user chooses a blocking reason ID in the purchase order item details, the system copies the assigned text from the input help.
  • If you do not set the indicator, users can overwrite the text for the relevant blocking reason ID with their own reason. They can use a maximum of 40 characters. If a user blocks a purchase order item and formulates their own text for a blocking reason ID, the system displays this text when the blocked purchase order item is called, regardless of the logon language.
