Definition

International standardized currency key.

Use

The entry is used in countries of the European Community to check the sales tax identification number (ID) You can store the sales tax ID in the master record of a customer, creditor or company code.

When information is exchanged via EDI, the ISO code is used as the country key. So, if you are using EDI, you have to enter the ISO code for ea country in this field.

The ISO code controls what additional specifications are relevant for a company code. You can only specify additional specifications relevant for the country of the company code or relevant for all countries. The ISO code is used to assign the specifications to the country.

Procedure

Enter the ISO code for each country. This is especially important if:

• The country belongs to the European Community
• You are using EDI to transfer data
• Additional specifications specific to the company code are to be restricted by country.
