Definition
The booking unit variant type describes content of a booking unit, i.e the assignment of content components.
Every booking unit for a publication date has one variant type.
Booking units of the ad item type have a production unit variant type or an issue variant type with a similar function.
Use
This variant type is only used in conjunction with date-specific BUs. The system transfers the booking unit variant type that you enter here as a production unit variant type in the respective PU when it generates the production units.
The booking unit variant type is a more generic version of the variant types for specific item types.
