Documentation
Definition
Sales booking units describe objects that can be sold in an OPM order.
One (or several) use(s) can be assigned to booking units.
Valid uses are:
- AD Advertisement
- AI Ad insert
- CO Commercial
- DT Distribution
Combined booking units can be used to reproduce booking units as a BU hierarchy.
If larger BU hierarchies are involved, it is advisable to convert these booking units, grouped according to their use, into a work area. This work area represents a booking unit hierarchy for a particular use. The existence of a work area accelerates access to the BU hierarchy, since it is not necessary to construct the hierarchy itself.
A work area can be generated for the AI and DT booking unit uses.
If a new booking unit is created or an existing booking unit is changed or deleted, you must create this work area again.
