Documentation
Definition
Key that identifies a change master record.
Use
You can edit formulas either on the key date, or using a change number. Formulas are made up of several change objects (for example, formula header, material items, and substance items) whose change states may deviate from each other. When you use a change number to edit a formula, note the following:
- When you create a formula, the system creates all objects edited on the valid-from date of the change master record.
- When you change an existing formula, the system creates a new change state with the valid-from date of the change master record for all objects edited as well as for the formula header. The validity period of the existing change state ends with the day immediately before this valid-from date.
- When you display a formula, the system displays the change state for each object that is valid on the valid-from date of the change master record.
If you enter both a key date and a change number on the initial screen, the system uses the data of the change number. The valid-from date of the change state is used as the key date.
Note:
You can use the same change number that you use to edit a formula for other objects, too (for example, for editing the recipe of the formula). The valid-from date of the change master record then applies to all objects. It cannot be changed afterwards.
Dependencies
Formulas only support change master records with date effectivity but not with parameter effectivity.
The object types PVS variant and Substance must be active in the change master record.

Definition
Key of the change master record which was used to create the selected change state of the formula header (see change number).
Use
Dependencies
Formulas are made up of several change objects (such as formula header, material items, and substance items) that all have their own change states. When you use a change number to change a formula, the system only creates a new change state for the objects you changed and for the formula header.
The change states of different objects can therefore have different change numbers and validity periods. In the validity period of a change state of the formula header, however, there is always exactly one change state for each object.
