Definition
Indicates an identification number for identifying or assigning attributes to a business partner.
Use
Identification numbers are part of additional partner numbers for the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services and can be used to identify a business partner using a number that has been assigned externally. Additional partner numbers can be business partner numbers in external systems, corporate group keys, or organizational units.
You can categorize identification numbers by allocating them to identification number categories.
Dependencies
You can define the assigned identification number categories in Customizing for the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services. Here, you can also define the function modules for checking the identification numbers and make settings to determine the use of identification numbers.
Additional partner numbers for the SAP Business Partner for Financial Services supplement the identification numbers for the SAP Business Partner on the Identification tab page and provide additional Customizing settings.
Example
To create two business partners as members of one corporate group: Choose the identification number category IDTP01 for the corporate group key and assign the same identification number 56987 to both business partners.
