Definition
Indicates additional names for a business partner (aliases) that can be used for this business partner in payment transactions.
Use
You can edit the aliases for the business partner in business partner maintenance on the tab page additional names.
Dependencies
Account Management (FS-AM):
During payment transactions with the business partner, the check object for payment items checks the following items in this order once the ordering party has been activated:
- The name of the account holder of the account in question. The system considers first name and last name for natural persons, and name 1 and name 2 for organizations or groups.
- All aliases for the business partner.
- All aliases for the account holder. (You can enter these aliases directly when processing the contract.)
You can search for business partners using aliases in the search help partner according to alias.
Example
The business partner Helga Martin has changed her name following her marriage. The business partner is now called Helga Adams. As incoming payments are still to be expected with the name Helga Martin, define the last name Martin as an alias.
