Definition

This specifies that the system brings the selection start date forward to the first date of the calendar period determined in which the theoretical selection start date would have fallen.

Depending on the period unit, this results in the following possibilities:

  • Monday of the calendar week determined
  • First of the calendar month determined
  • January 1st of the calendar year determined

Use

In the first step, the system determines a theoretical selection start date. This is generally some time during the period unit (such as the Thursday of a calendar week). If you set this indicator, the system brings the selection start date forward to the start of the period, in this case to the Monday of the calendar week.

Dependencies

The indicator has no effect if you choose Day as period unit.

Example

Details:

  • Today's system date is Friday, August 9 2002.
  • Selection start date 1 week ago

Result: If this indicator is set, the system enters Monday of last week as selection start date, meaning Monday, July 29 2002.
