Definition

Average number of workdays per forecast period.

The system:

  1. Corrects the historical values using this average number of workdays.
  2. Runs the forecast based on the actual number of workdays in the forecast period.

Examples

Your forecast period is "month", and you want the forecast to be run on the assumption that the number of workdays in each month is 20. You therefore enter 20 in this field. The results are as follows:

    History            Forecast

    M1     M2     M3     M1     M2     M3

Original    2000     2000    2000    2000    2000    2000

Days     19     21     23     22     20     18

Corr.     1900     2100    2300    2200    2000    1800

Dependencies

You specify the forecast period in the Period ind. field on this screen. The forecast period need not be the same as the storage periodicity that is set in Customizing (Set parameters of info structures and key figures).
