Definition

This profile determines the distribution and monitoring of change authorizations for ID PDM in ALE systems.

Use

The change authorization determines whether the source or target system currently has the authorization to change objects. You can distribute change authorization for object types (for example, materials) between systems.

Change authorizations apply to an entire object.

However, you can define change authorizations for field groups in the following objects:

• Material master records
• BOM items
• Document items

Use

This profile only applies to materials that have a cross-plant material status (in the basic data of the material).

The change authorization controls whether the source system or the target system currently has the authorization to change these materials. You can distribute the change authorization for materials between systems.

Procedure

If the material status allows distribution to other ALE systems, enter one profile only.
