Documentation
Definition
Controls whether confirmation dates of the availability check are relevant to MRP.
Use
If you do not select this checkbox, MRP refers to the request schedule lines. The receipts are taken into account for the desired date.
If you do select this checkbox, MRP refers only to the confirmation schedule lines:
- The quantities available in the supplying plant and confirmed by the ATP check are considered to be a receipt in the receiving plant on the confirmed date.
- If the supplying plant cannot confirm the entire requested quantity, the system issues an error message that you can configure in Customizing (MEPO 155,System Messages) and you cannot save the related documents. Therefore, only select the checkbox if you have configured the availability check so that the system generates the appropriate confirmation schedule lines for all request schedule lines. This is the case, for example, if you run the availability check with replenishment lead time.
- After the availability check has run, you can reschedule the purchase order items. The rescheduling takes into account the current availability situation, and aligns with desired quantities and desired dates. If you do not want to reschedule delivery quantities and delivery dates that were confirmed by the ATP check, select the Fixed Date/Quantity checkbox in the stock transport order item.
Dependencies
You can only select this checkbox if you have assigned a Checking Rule for Availability Check and selected a Rule for Adoption of ATP Results in Purchasing, in which user want and delivery proposal are in different schedule lines (entry B,C, D, E or U in table field Av.Ch.Rule).
You can control whether the system considers purchase orders for the desired date or confirmation date by using the Incl.purchase orders field in the detailed data of Customizing activity Carry Out Control For Availability Check. If you have chosen A or X to specify that you want the ATP check to include purchase orders, the system behaves as follows:
- If you select the ATP Conf. MRP checkbox, material requirements planning only refers to confirmation schedule lines, regardless of whether the Incl.purchase orders field has the value A (desired date) or X (confirmed date).
- If you do not select the ATP Conf. MRP checkbox, MRP considers desired dates or confirmed dates, depending on which value has been set in field Incl.purchase orders.
