Documentation
Definition
This date explains on which day the shift time belongs. For example, a requirements record that lasts more than one day can be defined as starting at 10:00 p.m. on the first day and ending at 5:00 a.m. on the following day. This could result in an assignment period from 1:00 a.m.
to 5:00 a.m. with an eventual split of assignments. This period, however, lies completely on the following day. The date on which the assignment period began is entered as the date in ASSIGN_DATE. In this way, assignments covering more than one day are stored with the start date.
Example
Day |01/01/XX |01/02/XX
| 10:00 p.m. | 5:00 a.m.
Reqmnts Record | |----------------------------|
| |
| 10:00 p.m. | 5:00 a.m.
Assignment 1 | |----------------------------|
| |
| 10:30 p.m. 1:00/1:00 a.m. 5:00 a.m.
Assignment 2 | |----------------||----------|
| |
Assignment 1 is assigned to 01/01/XX and Assignment 2 to 01/02/XX.
Further notes
Be aware, however, that when evaluating existing assignments, the selection period is linked to the validity date and not to the date in the additional information (ASSIGN_DATE). Therefore, assignments that cover more than one day but are split (1:00 a.m. - 4:00 a.m., for example) are not selected, although they lie completely within the following day.
